Nadia N. Geigler

Nadia N. Geigler

Executive Director

Nadia Geigler has worked in the field of aging services since 1999 and in a variety of roles, first with Covenant Retirement Communities.  In 2016, she joined The Admiral at the Lake as Chief Operating Officer.  Nadia holds a Bachelors of Arts and a Masters of Management in Nonprofit Administration, both from North Park University, and is a licensed nursing home administrator in Illinois and Minnesota.  Nadia is a 2012 graduate of the national LeadingAge Leadership Academy and currently serves as Facilitator of the LeadingAge Illinois Leadership Academy.  Nadia and her husband, Paul, live in the Jefferson Park neighborhood in Chicago with their daughters Aubrey and Fiona and dog Parker.

Dan Churchill, CPA

Dan Churchill, CPA

Chief Financial Officer

Dan has been with The Admiral at the Lake since 2012. Prior to joining our team, Dan was a Senior Manager at Frost, Ruttenberg & Rothblatt, P.C., a leader in senior living accounting and consulting in Illinois, with more than 9 years of experience as a financial statement auditor specializing in audits of not-for-profit organizations with extensive experience in 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(6) organizations. He oversaw the audits for several large Chicago-based senior living communities and well-known and world-renowned Chicago-based theater and dance organizations. Dan received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois CPA Society.

Chef Alejandro Arreola

Director of Culinary Services

Chef Alejandro Arreola started his career at age 12 as apprentice at his parent’s restaurant in Mexico City. Soon, he started taking up positions at various restaurants, where he was mentored in French, Spanish and Mexican cuisine. After pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Design, he came back to the cooking he loved. In the last twenty years he has worked in different Chef Positions in the luxury hotel industry. Previous to join the opening team at The Admiral at the Lake in July 2012, he spent ten years at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Chicago and other Four Seasons Hotel properties. When off the clock, Chef Arreola participates in triathlons and cycling races.

Jennifer Deitelhoff

Jennifer Deitelhoff

Director of Resident Services

Jennifer Deitelhoff has been with The Admiral at the Lake since 2009.  She has worked in Retirement Living for 16 years in a large variety of roles, including Activities, Operations, and Sales.  Jennifer graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a degree in Sociology and Political Science.  She and her husband live in Arlington Heights and have two daughters.  In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys gardening, household projects, running, and being with family and friends.

Angela Jalloh

Angela Jalloh

Director of Nursing

Angela Jalloh has worked in many capacities in long-term care. While a C.N.A, she began her nursing education, eventually earning L.P.N, R.N. and B.S.N. degrees. Before coming to The Admiral at the Lake, Angela served in another long-term care community for three years as Assistant Director of Nursing. She also worked as a college nursing instructor for two years. “My motivation is to shift the way nursing interacts with residents and to incorporate each resident’s preference, perspective, background and opinions into daily care,” Angela says.

Akintunde Littlejohn

Director of Information Technology

New to the CCRC industry, LJ obtained extensive health care experience as the IT Manager for a network of Community Health Care Centers located in Oak Park, IL. The bulk of his 15+ years Information Technology experience was acquired as the IT Manager of a leading Futures Brokerage located in the Chicago Board of Trade. LJ possesses an Associates of Applied Science in Computer Information Systems and is also one of the Admiral’s Compliance Liaisons, the HIPAA Security Officer and the interim HIPAA Privacy Officer. A south side native, LJ and his 14 year old son, Malik reside in the South Suburbs of Chicago. They are both looking forward to Malik’s inevitable transition from high school to college.

Gretchen Meitl

Gretchen Meitl

Director of Human Resources

Gretchen’s career in Human Resources has spanned more than 20 years, working as a generalist with experience in benefits administration, compensation management, employee relations, professional coaching and organizational culture.  Most recently, Gretchen worked as Human Resources Director at the Northwest Area Foundation in St. Paul, Minnesota, a nonprofit serving an eight state region in the Midwest to reduce poverty and promote sustainable prosperity.  Gretchen also has prior management and consultant experience in Human Resources in several companies, including The Long Term Care Group, Robert Half & Employers Association, Trend Enterprises and Land O’ Lakes.

Gretchen graduated from Butler University with a Bachelor of Arts in journalism and from the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management with a Master of Arts in Human Resources and Industrial Relations.  She resides in the western suburb of Glen Ellyn.

Christine Segin

Christine Segin

Director of Sales and Marketing

Christine Segin joined The Admiral at the Lake in early 2013 and became part of the management team in March 2014. Her background includes a mix of different disciplines and business expertise. Christine’s career history includes over 20 years experience working for a Fortune 500 company as a team leader, sales and marketing executive, field trainer and Six Sigma certified quality process improvement specialist. Her experience also includes owning and managing a senior relocation business focused on home downsizing and relocation services and two development assignments working for continuing care retirement communities in Illinois. Christine graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, and the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management. She enjoys spending time with her family and her hobbies include piano composition, tennis, traveling and volunteer work.

Debbie Self

Debbie Self

Director of Assisted Living

Debbie Self has been a nurse for 34 years and a Geriatric Nurse Manager for 30 years.  She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northern Illinois University, and has been working with The Admiral at the Lake since 2015.  She is a member of the National Gerontological Nursing Association and Sigma Theta Tau (Nursing Honor Society).  She strives to listen to supports residents and families in their journey and to build a team of capable and engaged associates who feel valued for their contributions to the well-being of residents.  She and her husband have two children, two dogs, and two cats.  She loves to travel, read, and spend time with family and friends at their home in Southwest Michigan.

Steve Norris

Steve Norris

Senior Manager of Facilities

Steve has worked with The Admiral at the Lake since April 2012.  He studied Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement at Oakton College, and received his Management Supervisory Certification from Lake Forest School of Management.  He received his Six Sigma Training at Motorola University, and has an Associate’s Degree in Heating and Refrigeration from Harper College.  He has International Facilities Management Association Credentials in Facilities Management, is an IDPH Certified Swimming Pool Operator, and is a graduate of the Kendal Fellows Program.  He is a member of the International Facilities Management Association.  He and his wife have two children.  Steve enjoys the outdoors, antiquing, and rusty metal.

Nicholas Raia

Nicholas Raia

Senior Environmental Services Manager

Nicholas Raia has been in the environmental services industry for 35 years.  He received an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science from Wright College of Chicago, and spent a year at the University of Illinois Chicago circle camps in Communications Design. Nick received his Certificate of Achievement from the Leadership Academy  through Northwest community Hospital of Arlington Heights Illinois, as well as the Kendal Leadership fellows program.  He is a member of the American Society for Healthcare Environmental Services, and has a background in art (oil, watercolor, and drawing), and enjoys gardening, cooking, and antiquing.
